About The Role
We are recruiting for a Contractor Controller to work at our site in Scunthorpe. The candidate will work 5 days per week from Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30. The salary for this position is £29,000 plus quarterly bonus up to £500.
Main responsibilities:
1. Review RAMS and check Contractor’s certification and licenses
2. Ensure of in date Liability Insurance
3. Vet potential contractors and adding successful companies to the approved contractor list
4. Ensure all required documentation is provided by the contractors prior to work commencing
5. Ensure contractors allowed to work on site are fit and proper for the work activities taking place, and those contractors understand and comply with their responsibilities and duties
6. Conduct Site Inductions
7. Conduct regular site inspections/ spot checks to ensure adherence to safety protocols and identify potential hazards
8. Produce permits taking into consideration all elements of the task
9. Sign off all permits on completion of works
10. Maintain accurate records and documentation
11. Provide H&S and production reports to management to agreed deadlines
12. Ensure contractors carry out their work safely, reducing risk to themselves and company employees
13. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards
About You
Desirable skills and knowledge:
14. NEBOSH General required
15. Knowledge of ISO is desired
16. Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
17. IOSH Managing Safely
18. CDM experience
19. Good computer skills and experience using Microsoft applications
20. The ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
21. Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
22. Experience managing contractors is desired
23. Willingness to travel to various sites if required
24. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
25. High level of integrity and commitment to promoting a safe working environment
