Maths Teacher

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £31650 – £49084; MPS/UPS
GSL Education is seeking a passionate and dynamic Maths Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in York on a temp-to-perm basis starting in September 2025. This position is open to Early Career Teachers and experienced Teachers.

This is a small, specialist secondary provision that supports young people with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. About the Role as a Maths Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons tailored to individual student needs across KS3 and KS4.
Provide targeted academic and emotional support to students with additional needs.
Monitor progress and adapt teaching to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including SEN staff and support assistants.
Contribute to a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
Teacher of Maths Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Maths in a secondary, SEN, or alternative provision setting.
A compassionate, flexible, and patient approach to teaching.
Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply through GSL Education).
