The Role
A welcoming secondary school in Flintshire is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maths Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This role will run until the end of the summer term, with strong potential for continuation into the new academic year depending on departmental needs.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils to develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and strong numeracy foundations.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the Welsh curriculum.
* Teach across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE Mathematics where required.
* Use a range of teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs.
* Track, assess, and report on pupil progress.
* Uphold high standards of behaviour and safeguarding.
* Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school team.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
* Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum requirements.
* Confident classroom management skills.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Up-to-date safeguarding training (can be provided).
