Nursery Support Assistant
Location: East Finchley, Barnet
A warm and inclusive Primary School in East Finchley is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and energetic Nursery Support Assistant to join their Early Years team. This role involves providing support within a Nursery class, working closely with young children to support their learning, development, and wellbeing during these crucial early years.
This is a highly rewarding position, ideal for someone who is nurturing, patient, and passionate about early childhood education.

Role Overview
* Supporting children aged 3-4 within a Nursery setting
* Assisting with play-based learning, routine, and care
* Full-time, long-term role
* Working hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
* Immediate start or September start available
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting children with learning through play and structured activities
* Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
* Assisting with personal care routines where required
* Creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment
* Supporting children's social and emotional development
* Working closely with the class teacher and Early Years team
* Supporting learning both indoors and outdoors
Requirements
* Minimum 6 months' experience working with young children
* Experience or strong interest in Early Years / Nursery settings
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Able to commit to a full-time role
