Your Scope
Main Purpose: Ensure the safe and efficient day to day running of the Ashford facility managing all aspects of compliance and operational activities as well as amenities.

Responsibilities
* Create annual reviewed programs to manage risk assessments & work instructions across the department.
* Control compliance duties across the department, such as fixed wiring, PAT testing, legionella control, contractor control and confined space control via the permit system.
* Year-on-year reduction of accidents within the department, agreed annually with the Site Director.
* Ensure GMP audit actions are completed timely and reduce engineering/equipment related internal non-conformances.
* Conduct regular reviews identifying departmental quality issues for improvement, maintaining documentation to meet audit purposes.
* Attend monthly Technical and Operations meetings, including HACCP and annual GMS reviews.
* Drive continuous improvement to reduce equipment downtime, achieve at least 85% PPM program completion, and deliver ROI on CAPEX improvements.
* Collaborate with Engineering Team Leader to build realistic budgets, manage day‑day costs, and maintain critical spares and CAPEX planning.
* Develop staff skills through assessments, scheduled 1‑2‑1s, and training that meets compliance requirements.
Your Profile
* Mechanical expertise: 5–10+ years in engineering roles, with 3–5 years in leadership or management.
* Leadership & communication: Inspire teams, resolve conflicts, and communicate with stakeholders.
* Strategic thinking: Align engineering goals with business objectives.
* Problem‑solving: Analytic skills to troubleshoot and optimize systems.
* Project & budget management: Experience managing resources, timelines, and financials.
