Interim Ofsted Registered Manager Kingstanding North Birmingham B44
We have an Interim Ofsted Registered Manager position at a home currently supporting one child who requires emotional and behavioural support. The home is located in Kingstanding B44
This temporary role could and more than likely can become a permanent role
We will consider Team Leader or DM for this position.
There will be full support from Responsible Individual and Organisation Management
Salary with be flexible and agreed on experience and qualifications £40-£60k per annum pro-rata.
Interim Ofsted Registered Manager - Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the service consistent with the approach and ethos of the organisation, delivering outcomes and outstanding care, as set out in the statement of purpose.
- Manage the daily operations of the service, whilst ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered to children and young people.
- Oversee a myriad of safeguarding practices and ensure a robust safeguarding culture.
- Cultivating a dynamic and supportive team environment through inspirational leadership.
- Foster a positive team culture that prioritises the needs, well-being and outcomes, of all children.
- Conduct regular supervision, appraisals, and training to support staff, whilst being a fierce advocate of continued professional development.
- Fostering strong and meaningful relationships with children, staff members, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted standards, the Children’s Homes Regulations, and all other relevant legislation.
Interim Ofsted Registered Manager - Required Skills/Education
- Level 5 Diploma in Children and Young People - Residential Childcare. Preferred
-Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People -Residential Care Essential
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing or supervising in a children’s residential setting.
- Proven track record of effective leadership skills, encompassing the ability to motivate and inspire, those around them.
- In-depth and robust, understanding of regulatory and legal requirements of Ofsted Registered provisions, and underpinning child and social care legislation.
- Champion children’s rights and a fierce advocate of improving the lives of looked after children.
- Valid UK Driver's License and access to own vehicle.
- Substantial experience of the Ofsted inspection process; and of obtaining "Good", or "Outstanding" accreditations at key inspections.
- Experience of working with complex children who encompass learning disabilities/ emotional behavior
- Previous experience of working within therapeutic care frameworks/models and trauma informed practice is desired.
