Apprenticeship programme During this programme, we will help you develop the practical skills and knowledge required to succeed in this role and your future career. Throughout the programme, you will continue to develop your behaviours such as team working, problem-solving and customer focus. By the end of your apprenticeship, as well as gaining a broad range of technical and professional knowledge and experience, you'll have received industry-standard training and attained qualifications that will enable you to progress and reach your full potential. such as Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, BOAS, and IOSH etc. What will you be doing? - Under the guidance of the Area Supervisor, working alongside the Site engineers, you will proactively undertake the monitoring, operation and maintenance routines of the on-site steam boilers and associated equipment to our contractual requirements Including, LTHW systems and Heat Pump systems. - The range of tasks will be suited to the current level of training and development Including but not limited to; - Assist with Preventative planned maintenance (PPMs) as directed by the site supervisor. - Assist with Fault finding & diagnosis of mechanical and electrical plant defects. - Assisting with the dismantling and reassembling of steam boilers and associated equipment for annual inspections. Physically demanding role - must be able to cope with some heavy lifting (e.g. Boiler equipment) working at Height and /or in confined spaces. - To attend college and complete coursework on time and to a high standard - To produce, maintain and be responsible for content, accuracy and sign off of log books - To take on additional responsibility in Years 2 & 3 of the Apprenticeship - To understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time - To understand and comply with policies and procedures - To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner - To comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures - To attend and fully participate in regular training and development reviews with line management, mentor, HR representatives and Veolia nominated representatives. - To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required What are we looking for? - A minimum of 3 GCSEs Grade 4 (C or equivalent) or above/predicted to include Maths, English and Science - Ability to travel to and from the primary location Desirable - Full Driving Licence Assessments As a part of your online application, you will need to complete gamified assessment challenges before we can consider your application for this position.
