The Opportunity
Join the Jacobs Graduate Development Programme (GDP), a structured two‑year scheme designed to support your early career. The GDP blends learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking to build knowledge and competence across four focus areas: human skills, consulting skills, strategy alignment and your passions. The programme is on‑the‑job focused, with learning experiences selected in collaboration with your manager and mentor. It aims to launch your career by enabling you to work on meaningful projects with industry leaders and deliver outcomes for complex challenges.
The start date for this position is 1 September 2026.
What you will do
* Provide support to projects across Jacobs’ Energy & Power markets, focusing on energy systems technology, energy management, net zero initiatives, renewable and low‑carbon generation, storage technologies and future energy systems.
* Contribute to services within energy management and advisory work, addressing decarbonisation and the energy transition (whole system efficiency, electrification of demand, digitisation and decentralised energy).
* Collaborate with clients to manage risks and develop solutions aligned to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments and net zero goals.
* Engage in on‑the‑job learning and development through the GDP, with opportunities to work on meaningful projects and advance your technical and consulting capabilities.
Requirements
* Be working towards a Degree or Master’s level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Power Systems Engineering.
* A flexible self‑starter who is keen to drive your career forward.
* Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things.
* You must have permanent right to work in the UK.
