Our continued growth has created an opportunity for an experienced and commercially focused Contracts / Project Manager to join our team.
Role Overview
The Contracts / Project Manager will take full lifecycle responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple mechanical building services projects, ensuring programme, commercial, quality, and safety objectives are consistently achieved. The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and technical expertise within HVAC and mechanical installation environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Contract Delivery
* Manage multiple mechanical building services contracts from pre-construction through to completion and handover
* Plan, programme, and coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors, and resources
* Ensure delivery aligns with contractual requirements, client expectations, and company standards
Commercial & Financial Management
* Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts to ensure profitability and financial control
* Identify and manage variations, risks, and value engineering opportunities
* Support commercial reporting and cost management processes
Compliance, Quality & Safety
* Ensure all works comply with statutory regulations, H&S legislation, and company procedures
* Conduct site visits, audits, and quality inspections
* Oversee RAMS, technical documentation, and compliance records
Client & Stakeholder Management
* Act as primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
* Maintain strong working relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
* Attend project meetings and provide progress and performance reporting
Leadership & Team Management
* Lead, motivate, and develop project teams and site supervisors
* Promote a collaborative, accountable, and performance-driven culture
* Support continuous improvement and operational best practice
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a Contracts / Project Manager role within Mechanical Building Services
* Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical installation projects
* Sound commercial awareness and budget management capability
* Thorough understanding of H&S and regulatory compliance
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
* Proficient in project management and reporting tools
* Full UK Driving Licence
Qualifications (Preferred)
* HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services
* SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
* CSCS (Management Level)

Working Arrangements
Location: Leeds-based with travel to project sites (primarily regional with some nationwide work)
Hours: Monday to Friday
