Job Description
Our Placements and Brokerage Service plays a vital role in supporting Adult Social Care by securing high-quality, cost-effective and timely placements and packages of care for older people, adults with disabilities and young adults within transition services.
We are looking for an ambitious, analytical and detail-focused individual to join our Data Reconciliation Team as a Senior Data Reconciliation Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, fact-finding and improving data quality within a fast-paced, high-impact service.
You will ensure the accuracy, quality and integrity of care and financial data, enabling timely payments to providers and supporting robust financial and commissioning decisions across Adult Social Care.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on the reconciliation, validation and maintenance of care and financial data to ensure accurate payments and charging
* Provide expert guidance and day-to-day support to Brokerage Support and Data Reconciliation Officers
* Deputise for the Brokerage Support Team Manager when required
* Oversee data entry and quality assurance across care management and financial systems
* Monitor and resolve discrepancies relating to commissioned services and provider payments
* Support performance reporting, dashboards and management information
* Liaise with social workers, care managers, finance teams, providers and health professionals to resolve complex queries
* Line manage and support staff through supervision, appraisals and development activity
About You
You will bring:
* Strong experience working within Adult Social Care, brokerage, commissioning or financial data environments
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to investigate, analyse and resolve complex data issues
* Knowledge of social care systems such as Swift / AIS / financial modules
* Experience managing or supervising staff and supporting performance and development
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
* Confident communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
* A proactive and solution-focused approach to service improvement
