We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established housing and community-focused organisation for an experienced and compassionate Scheme Manager to join their Retirement Housing Team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting older people to live independently while promoting wellbeing, community engagement, and high-quality housing services. As Scheme Manager, you will deliver a proactive and responsive housing management service to residents living within retirement housing schemes. You will support tenants wellbeing, encourage social inclusion and independence, and work collaboratively with external agencies to ensure residents receive the support they need.
Key Responsibilities of a Scheme Manager:
* Deliver day-to-day housing management support to retirement housing tenants
* Promote tenant wellbeing, independence, and community involvement
* Encourage and facilitate social activities and engagement opportunities
* Carry out assessments and identify individual support needs
* Liaise effectively with health, social care, and other external agencies
* Support residents with welfare benefits and tenancy-related matters
* Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and risk assessments
* Maintain accurate records and documentation
About You We are looking for someone with:
* Experience working with older people and/or vulnerable adults
* A background in housing, health, social care, or a related sector
* Experience working collaboratively with partner agencies
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Strong organisation and record-keeping abilities
* Knowledge of welfare benefits systems
* A caring, professional, and customer-focused xsngvjr approach
Essential Requirements
* Enhanced DBS check
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work
