Join to apply for the HGV Class 2 Driver role at Travis Perkins plc. Drive your HGV career forward with Travis Perkins Vauxhall – our biggest London branch. We are seeking a confident and careful driver to support a busy operation and deliver building materials across the capital while delivering excellent customer service safely.
We’ll provide full HIAB training (lorry-mounted crane) for the successful applicant to support your career progression within our group. A clean, valid UK licence for HGV Class 2 or PCV vehicles is required, along with a confidence in Central London driving.
Responsibilities
* Deliver building materials from the branch to local customers, ensuring safety and proper handling.
* Load the vehicle with HIAB, verify all loads are properly packed and legal, and perform daily drops (approximately 14 drops per day).
* Return to the branch to reload as needed and maintain a professional on-the-road presence.
Qualifications
* Class 2 driving licence, up-to-date CPC records, and 12+ months of driving experience.
* HIAB experience or training available funded by the branch.
* Customer-focused with the ability to build and develop relationships.
* Safety-focused, prioritising professional and safe task completion.
