Customer Services Supervisor – Front of House
Assembly Rooms, Church Hill Theatre – Edinburgh
Salary: £26,337-£28,835 (pro‑rata for part‑time)
Hours: 0 per week – casual contract
Be the calm, confident lead on the front line of live events.
We're looking for a confident, organised Front of House Supervisor to join our events team across the Assembly Rooms and Church Hill Theatre. You don't need years of experience, but you do need great communication, a calm head and the confidence to support a team during busy events. You'll help run the front‑of‑house operation at everything from sold out comedy and live music to weddings, conferences, festivals and community productions.
One shift you might be briefing the team and managing ticket checks, the next you could be overseeing ushers in a full auditorium or supporting the bar and cloakroom to keep things moving. Shifts are varied and flexible, making this a great step up for someone with some customer service or event experience who's ready for more responsibility.
Full training is provided and you'll build solid experience in team leadership, audience management and event delivery in two of Edinburgh's busiest cultural venues.
Responsibilities
* Brief the team and manage ticket checks
* Oversee ushers during full auditorium events
* Support the bar and cloakroom to keep operations running smoothly
* Assist in overall front‑of‑house operation for events ranging from comedy, live music to weddings, conferences, festivals and community productions
Qualifications
* Great communication skills
* Calm and confident under pressure
* Ability to support a team during busy events
* Any relevant customer service or event experience is acceptable; years of experience not required
