Job Title: SEND Complaints and Resolution Officer
Location: West Midland
Day rate: £400 per day (inside IR35)
Contract Length: 6 Months
Working Pattern: Hybrid/Remote
We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled SEND Complaints and Resolution Officer to join a Local Authoirty. In this role, you’ll handle complaints related to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), working with parents, schools, and professionals to find fair solutions and improve services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Investigate SEND complaints and identify root causes
* Mediate between families, schools, and services
* Develop resolutions and support service improvements
* Prepare for and represent the authority at SEND tribunals (where required)
* Maintain clear records and produce reports
Key Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of SEND law, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2015
* Excellent communication, mediation, and problem-solving skills
* Investigative and analytical abilities
* Experience in a customer-facing or SEND-related role is beneficial
