The purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of bridging and specialist mortgage loans, ensuring proactive servicing, arrears management, and exceptional customer service in line with company policy and FCA regulations. The role covers the full lifecycle of loans, from post‑completion servicing to redemption, including early arrears management and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the full lifecycle of bridging and buy‑to‑let loans, from post‑completion servicing to redemption.
* Monitor loan performance, including early arrears and watchlist accounts, and take action to resolve missed payments.
* Prepare and process refurbishment drawdown requests, extensions, and redemption statements.
* Deliver proactive customer service to borrowers and third parties via phone, email, and letter.
* Contact all new borrowers prior to their first payment to ensure awareness of payment dates and amounts.
* Investigate and resolve payment difficulties, working with customers to bring accounts up to date.
* Identify and report trends in arrears and portfolio performance.
* Support senior management with management information (MI) preparation and system development.
* Ensure accurate data entry and record keeping for all loan accounts.
* Assist with special servicing and recovery processes as required.
* Create welcome letters for new bridging customers plus reminders as loans reach end of term.
* Proactively manage pre‑arrears and watchlist loans, including assessments and appropriate borrower contact.
* Issue redemption statements where required for bridging loans.
What we're looking for:
* Experience in mortgage servicing, arrears management, or portfolio management within Bridging & buy‑to‑let.
* Experience within an FCA‑regulated environment.
* Strong customer‑centric mindset and communication skills.
* Data‑driven approach with a focus on risk management.
