Their Leicester facility supplies high-quality products into all major retailers and forms part of a group with a turnover approaching £1bn. Due to continued growth and significant investment across the business, they are now looking to expand their engineering team with the addition of a Maintenance Engineer.

The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities across a fast-paced manufacturing site.
The role will involve predominantly reactive maintenance, fault finding, and breakdown response on a range of production machinery and automated equipment.
Electrical Responsibilities
* Fault finding using multimeters and schematics
* Checking inputs and outputs
* Reading and interpreting electrical drawings
* Working on sensors, relays, safety circuits, switches, panels, inverters, and 3-phase motors
* PLC fault finding including:
o Input/output checks
o Basic ladder logic understanding
o Uploading and downloading programs
* Monitoring and fault finding via HMI screens
Mechanical Responsibilities
* Fault finding and repair work on production machinery
* Replacing like-for-like components including:
o Bearings
o Motors
o Belts
o Blades
o Chains
The Candidate
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A recognised electrical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, BTEC, ONC, HNC, HND or equivalent)
* Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or a similar environment
* Strong electrical fault-finding abilities
* Mechanical maintenance experience
* A positive, proactive, can-do attitude
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment
