A client within the Public Sector based in County is currently recruiting for a Voids Officer to join their Housing and Property Services Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing/property management environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is to manage and coordinate the full voids process from inspection to sign-off, ensuring all properties meet the Council’s Lettable Standard and are safe, compliant, and ready for occupancy. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Responsible for overseeing the Voids Procedure from survey to sign-off. • Conduct thorough inspections of void properties to assess their condition. • Utilise professional experience and judgement to determine necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with the Council's Void Lettable Standard. • Identify and address health and safety risks, such as damp and mould. • Raise job orders and coordinate with contractors for required repairs and maintenance. • Manage the procurement and inventory of materials required for property refurbishment. • Maintain and update systems and trackers to monitor the status and progress of void properties. • Sign off properties once all work is completed to the required standard. • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations throughout all processes. The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require: • Valid driving licence and access to a car. • Enhanced DBS check. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Teams. The below skills would be beneficial for the role: • Previous experience in a similar role within housing or property management, preferably with a background in project management. • In-depth knowledge of local housing policies and regulations. • Relevant qualifications such as IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS Certification, and a Level 3 qualification. The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £22 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £18 per hour PAYE).
