About the Role
Long Term Futures is seeking a patient and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with ADHD, SEMH needs, and challenging behaviour in a welcoming primary school in Radford, Coventry (CV6). This is a long-term role with the opportunity to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with ADHD, SEMH, and behaviour needs.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a structured learning environment.
* Encourage social and emotional development through positive interactions.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning strategies.
* Assist with classroom activities and engagement.
What We're Looking For
* Knowledge of de-escalation techniques, trauma-informed approaches, and behaviour intervention strategies.
* Experience using positive reinforcement and emotional regulation techniques.
* Previous experience supporting children with ADHD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour..
* Team Teach training (desirable but not essential).
* Min 6 months experience in a school or SEN setting.
* A passion for supporting children's development and well-being.
