Vehicle Technician / Mechanic required in Guildford, Surrey
1. Basic Salary up to £39,000 DOE and qualifications + bonus
2. Mon to Fri 8:00am-5:00pm and Saturday's on a 1 in 3 rota at overtime
Our client, a Franchised Car Dealership in the Guildford, Surrey area, are currently looking to recruit a Service Technician / Vehicle Mechanic for their busy and expanding Service Department.
Reporting to the Workshop Controller and working with a large team, as a Service Vehicle Technician you will undertake the repair, servicing and preparation of our client's vehicles ensuring all work is completed safely and to complete satisfaction.
You will also be responsible/be involved in the following
3. Working effectively within our client's dealership team to ensure industry-leading standards of safety, customer care and satisfaction at all times.
4. Accurately using the Auto VHC system ensuring achievement of efficiency.
5. Completing work recommended by our clients Master Technicians after fault finding
6. Supervising and assisting with the training of any Apprentice Vehicle Technician when requested to do so with the view to overseeing their work.
In order to be eligible you need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Guildford, Surrey region and be a fully qualified Vehicle Technician to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum and ideally have extensive experience in the diagnostics, servicing, and repair of vehicles. You will need to hold a UK driving license, be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for you team.
Applicants with an active MOT Smart Card would be highly advantageous to our client but it is non-essential.
