A unique opportunity has arisen to join a supportive and inspiring rural school specialising in educating young people aged 11-17 with Asperger’s Syndrome and autism. The school provides a nurturing environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Computer Science Teacher (QTS) to deliver engaging lessons up to GCSE level. Classes are small, typically with 6 students, allowing for personalised teaching and attention. Each class benefits from additional Learning Support Assistant (LSA) support to ensure the best outcomes for the learners.

Role details:
* Deliver Computer Science lessons up to GCSE level to small classes of 5-6 students
* Collaborate closely with LSAs to tailor learning experiences
* Support the social and educational development of students with Asperger’s and autism
* Full-time hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm (flexible arrangements on start and finish times can be discussed)
* Contract length currently uncertain; there is strong potential for the position to become ongoing
Candidate requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Computer Science up to GCSE level
* Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and experience working with young people with additional needs preferred
* Patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
