Grounds & Facilities Maintenance Worker - Billing Aquadrome - Northampton, Northamptonshire
Location: Billing Aquadrome NN3 9DA
Contract: Permanent 7 out of 5 days including weekends and Bank Holidays
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Carpenter / General Grounds & Maintenance Technician to carry out a wide range of repair, carpentry, and site upkeep duties. The role involves maintaining buildings, outdoor areas, and facilities to ensure they remain safe, functional, and well-presented at all times.
Key Responsibilities:

* Perform general carpentry work including repairs, installations, and basic construction
\t
* Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs to buildings, fixtures, and fittings
\t
* Maintain outdoor areas including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general landscaping
\t
* Ensure pathways, car parks, and communal areas are clean, safe, and hazard-free
\t
* Conduct inspections to identify maintenance issues and report or resolve them promptly
\t
* Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment safely
\t
* Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, gritting, or snow removal
\t
* Support other maintenance tasks including painting, basic plumbing, and general upkeep
\t
* Follow health & safety regulations at all times
Skills & Experience:
\t
* Proven experience in carpentry and general maintenance work
\t
* Basic knowledge of building maintenance, tools, and equipment
\t
* Ability to carry out physical work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
\t
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
\t
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\t
* Understanding of health & safety practices
Qualifications (Desirable):
\t
* NVQ or equivalent in Carpentry or a related trade
\t
* Full UK driving licence
\t
* Experience in groundskeeping or landscaping
