About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our client on a temporary ongoing basis. This position will provide vital support to two departments within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient operations and accurate documentation.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar industry and demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Duties
* End‑to‑end purchase order (PO) management – raising and sending POs to suppliers
* Input payroll data from timesheets into Excel
* Handle payroll and HR queries (including maternity leave, SSP, and employee changes)
* Process invoicing
* Order consumables, workwear, and stationery
* Distribute quotes to engineers and track status
* Support invoicing by checking quote status and marking approvals
* Support with overtime payroll entries
Skills & Experience Required
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers, engineers, and internal teams
Rate
£14.06 per hour
Hours
* Monday – Thursday: 8am – 4:30pm
* Friday: 8am – 2:30pm
* 40hrs per week
