This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established, stable and somewhat, Niche company, based here in Aylesbury We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager / Production Controller to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing 4 – 5 production staff, coordinating production scheduling and machine configurations, and ensuring that all raw materials, parts, and components are available to meet production targets. This is a key role within the business, requiring strong organisational skills, technical understanding of production processes, production scheduling and the ability to communicate effectively across departments. As a Production Manager, duties and responsibility to include: Production & Planning • Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet stock levels and specific sales orders. • Manage production schedules. • Monitor production output, ensuring stock levels are achieved efficiently. • Maintain accurate production records and reports for management. Team Management • Supervise and support the production team on the shop floor. • Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and standard operating procedures. Materials & Inventory Control • Responsible for the ordering and timely availability of raw materials, parts, and consumables. • Liaise with suppliers and the purchasing office, to ensure deliveries arrive when they are required. • Monitor stock levels and forecast material requirements in line with production schedules. Continuous Improvement • Collaborate with the engineers to resolve production issues. Skills & Experience Required: • Proven experience as a Production Manager, Production Controller, or similar role within manufacturing. • Strong understanding of production scheduling, material planning, and workflow optimisation. • Excellent organisational and communication skills. • Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. • IT literate, Excel and compatible spreadsheet software. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement. • Understanding of health & safety and quality standards in a production environment.
