Job Description
The role requires regular contact with outside licensors and third-party audit firms as well as many internal stakeholders such as legal, tax, and marketing. The selected candidate will need to develop a sound understanding of the operational issues that affect the administration of royalty contracts both from a systems perspective and from a customer interaction perspective.
What Your Impact Will Be:
* Responsible for generating royalty statements for all assigned in-licensing agreements.
* Coordinate the entry of new participation agreements.
* Oversee monthly/quarterly accrual processes.
* Coordinate the preparation of inter-company invoices and government reporting requirements.
* Lead internal audits to successful conclusion.
* Manage ad-hoc requests (e.g., analysis/reporting) to facilitate business decisions.
* Continuously seek ways to drive process improvements.
The Successful Applicant
* Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years or MBA with 6+ years of experience, with a proven track record in various accounting capacities (e.g., general accounting, management, external reporting).
* Expert in Microsoft Excel
* Experience with Hyperion and Oracle systems is a plus (Accounts payable / General Ledger modules)
* Strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts.
* Ability to manage and work with large amounts of data.
