The RoleThe school is seeking a passionate and creative Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality teaching, create engaging learning experiences, and foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver creative, child‑centred lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
2. Create a warm, secure, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independence and curiosity.
3. Use effective assessment strategies, including observations and learning journals, to track progress and tailor support.
4. Work collaboratively with EYFS colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leadership to maintain outstanding provision.
5. Build positive, supportive relationships with parents and carers through regularmunication.
6. Promote safeguarding and ensure the well-being and safety of all children.
7. Contribute to wider school life, including events, initiatives, and continuous improvement of the Early Years setting.
What We’re Looking For
8. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
9. Experience teaching in Early Years, preferably Reception.
10. Strong knowledge of EYFS frameworks and best practice.
11. A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic teaching style.
12. Excellent behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
13. Ability to inspire young learners through creative play‑based learning.
