Overview
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to shape and supporthow Swift takes forward the next phase of ISO 20022 for Market Infrastructures and Central Banks?
We are looking for an ambitious and inquisitive operator, who willdeliver end-to-end support and coordinationfor all remaining MI migrations to ISO 20022 whilst also keeping close to market developments and emerging trends. You will have strong Programme Management skills, a sound understanding of Swift’s products, and an ability to manage senior internal and external stakeholders. You will also have an analytical mind set, able to join dots across an evolving and exciting segment.
MIs play a critical role in Swift’s current product portfolio and the Market Infrastructure Communities and Standards Services (MICSS) Product Tribe is responsible for delivering secure, reliable and efficient solutions for Financial Market Infrastructures and their communities.
You will not work alone. You will be part of the Market Infrastructure Segment Squad which shapes and promotes Swift's solution portfolio for Market Infrastructures and Central Banks. The squad also is the home for all Financial Market Infrastructure Programmes where you will become part of a team with exposure to different MI Programmes.
Key responsibilities
As Programme Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Programme Management: Managing the Programme delivery through effective governance and decision making, owning documentation, and defining the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders. This will be aligned with the Chapter’s definition of Programmme Management.
2. ISO 20022 Market awareness: to enable and own market awareness on MI ISO 20022 related issues, to support MICSS objectives. In this, you will be responsible for all necessary support for the remaining migrations in the ISO 20022 adoption for MIs.
3. IMM workflow: to maintain and improve the IMM workflow. Owning documentation, managing stakeholders and running the Jira tasks (I) to track Swift’s engagement with each Swift MI looking to migrate to ISO 20022 from “engaged” to “live” and (II) to document and gate from SPF to provisioning; triggering Jira tasks for dependent teams.
4. Support the Chapter’s ambitions: to drive better ways of working to ensure a robust approach to Programme Management. This will include taking on workstreams (especially where they relate to MIs) and cover for other MI Programmes such as the Bank of England.
5. Proactive engagement in Squad and Tribe: towork closely across the Squad and Tribe to create better outcomes for customers and the MI community.
Experience
6. 5 to 10 years experience in the payment industry. Preferably, this will be in a business profile with some Programme or product expertise.
7. A technically savvy approach to business questions would be a clear advantage.
8. Demonstrable experience and expertiseof either:
9. Market Infrastructures, clearing and settlement or current cross-border payment solutions / technologies.
10. Industry standards – ISO 20022 as a data standard and / or as a policy tool.
11. Swift’s product portfolio – especially those that are enable or are enabled by ISO 20022 solutions.
12. Education: University degree.
