Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised, detail-focused Estimator to join our reactive maintenance team at our Peterborough office. This is a key role within the business, supporting the pricing, planning, and delivery of reactive maintenance works and light commercial jobs across multiple trades.
You will be responsible for producing accurate and timely quotations based on engineer's surveys, client requests, and project information, while working closely with operations, suppliers, subcontractors, and our sister companies within the Group. The role requires someone confident in managing multiple workstreams, working to deadlines, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
This position would suit someone with experience in maintenance, construction, or facilities management who enjoys being central to the flow of works from initial enquiry through to approval and delivery, and who is looking for a stable, office-based role with progression potential within the Twenty47 Group.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing accurate and timely quotations for reactive maintenance jobs and small works.
* Reviewing engineer reports, photographs, and job information to build clear scopes of work.
* Sourcing materials and obtaining supplier and subcontractor prices.
* Assisting with planning approved works and coordinating procurement.
* Supporting smooth handover of approved works to the operations team.
* Liaising with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
* Responding to quote queries, revisions, and variations.
* Maintaining accurate records, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in an estimating, administrative, or coordination role.
* Strong computer skills, particularly Excel and Word.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
* Confident and professional telephone manner.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable (Not Essential):
* Experience within maintenance, facilities management, or construction.
* Knowledge of multiple trades such as plumbing, electrical, or building works.
* Experience dealing with suppliers and subcontractors.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
