Product Owner (Associate Manager)
Location: Newcastle
Hybrid Working: Minimum 3 days per week on site.
Security Clearance required – applicants must have a 5+ years UK address history at the time of application.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Product Owner who will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and business leaders to define product vision, prioritise features, and deliver value to clients within an agile framework.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and goals to teams and stakeholders.
* Partner with stakeholders to co‑create product strategy; act as proxy Product Owner when required.
* Maintain and refine the product backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
* Collaborate with Business Analysts and User‑Centered Design teams to gather, analyse, and document requirements.
* Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and development teams.
* Facilitate agile ceremonies – sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews.
* Oversee sprint execution, identify risks and dependencies.
* Develop and execute product rollout and scaling strategies.
* Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, drive continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, security best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of product management or related experience, preferably in consulting.
* Leadership experience mentoring Product Owners or Business Analysts.
* Experience managing the full product lifecycle from ideation to maintenance.
* Hands‑on Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and familiarity with JIRA & Confluence.
* Strong understanding of SDLC and digital transformation.
* Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
* Advanced analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
* Experience leading cross‑functional teams and shaping product strategy.
* Ability to measure and deliver business benefits.
* Demonstrated innovation in solution design.
Set Yourself Apart
* Professional Certifications: PSPO, CSPO, SAFe POPM, IIBA‑CPOA.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
* Experience applying Government Digital Service (GDS) principles.
* Experience leveraging AI technologies for product innovation.
* Strong knowledge of UX/UI best practices.
* Industry experience in public sector, finance, healthcare or telecommunications.
