Job Description
Provide high quality support, companionship, personal and social assistance to a young girl with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning difficulties and sensory processing syndrome. Act as a highly professional, proactive, and safe carer and companion, sensitively and compassionately providing a range of assistance, companionship and personal care.
About the Child
The child is 10 years old, autistic with learning impairment, ADHD and sensory processing issues. Developmentally she is working at a Year 1/2 level. She is vibrant, inquisitive, boisterous and fun, yet also anxious, bossy, occasionally scared and worries about others more than the average child. She is compassionate and caring to others.
She loves women's football and is a fan of Manchester United Women’s team. She enjoys swimming and is slowly improving. She and her mother both received roller skates for Christmas and is keen to explore this activity. She prefers playing with younger children and sometimes struggles with turntaking, which creates difficulties in making peer friendships. She spends much time with her parents and has limited independent play.
