People Manager/HR Manager

ROLE PURPOSE
Provide an outstanding and expert recruitment and People (HR) service to the business. Adopting a coaching approach, collaborate with managers across the business to support the growth and development of their individual teams. Be the go-to person for all things recruitment and People related.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support the development and implementation of People strategies to support company values, business operations and employee engagement.
Recruitment - Manage the end to end recruitment process for all employed staff across the business including candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection and onboarding.
Employee Relations - Provide expert advice and support on employee relation issues (absence, disciplinaries, performance etc) lead on processes where required or offer coaching where more appropriate
HR Administration
Prepare and manage all employee related documents and records including (Employment starter documents, employee records, HR System data, holiday and absence records, benefits portals, training records, DBS renewals, payroll instruction etc)
Training
Assess training needs and develop or source training materials to enhance employee skills and performance
HR Reporting
Provide monthly HR reports to the SMT (turnover, absence, activities, training etc)
Compensation and Benefits
maintain a pay plan and benefits programme that is competitive and compliant with UK legislation
Legal compliance
Ensure compliance with UK Employment legislation and company policies.
Work collaboratively with the Associate Recruiter to maximise candidates and candidate onboarding
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Significant experience working in a People (HR) function
End to end recruitment including advertising, interviewing, candidate assessment and final offer
Employee relations knowledge and practice
Ability to organise and lead a small team function
People management experience
Company communications
Ability to demonstrate mature, influencing skills
Experience of identifying potential in people
Coaching and mentoring
Accuracy in People administration and use of HR platforms (HRIS, Benefits portals, ATS)
