Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering one of our biggest data centre construction projects.
Location: You can be based either 100% in country, or there will be significant international travel to the Nordics (11/3 day rotation).
Role Accountabilities
You’ll be responsible for managing the electrical packages of hyperscale data centre construction projects, taking projects through pre‑construction, construction, and close‑out/fit‑up.
Pre‑construction
* Working with the client and general contractor to create and establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget
* Supporting contractor pre‑qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations
* Supporting contract negotiations
* Assisting the client and the client’s team in identifying, scoping, buying‑out and scheduling of all owner‑direct vendors and consultants
Construction
* Managing the general contractor and other directly contracted vendors on the ground
* Coordinating value engineering efforts during the construction phase
* Working with the client’s commercial and PCG team to develop budget management and tracking
* Liaising with the client’s schedule management team to provide schedule monitoring, tracking and analysis
Close‑out/Fit‑up
* Initiating close‑out process prior to project completion, typically two to three months in advance
* Establishing close‑out documentation requirements with the client’s document controller; collecting and tracking receipt of all close‑out documents until completion, including warranties, as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, etc.
* Assisting with city and/or other authority final inspections and occupancy process
* Assisting the client in scheduling, coordination and management of all owner‑direct vendors and consultants
Qualifications & Experience
* An in‑depth understanding of large‑scale technical projects and construction techniques
* Ability to manage technical disciplines
* Experience working on data centre new build and refurbishment projects, preferably on hyperscale builds
* Ability to commit to significant international travel
