A Hackney based secondary school are seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive School Receptionist to join a vibrant secondary school located in the heart of Hackney, East London.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, supporting the daily operations of a busy school front office. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for students, staff, parents, and visitors, and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our reception area.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing a warm and professional welcome to all visitors, staff and students
Managing incoming calls, emails, and general school enquiries
Maintaining accurate student records using SIMS
Supporting administrative functions including attendance, admissions, and reporting
Managing files and documents using Microsoft OneDrive
Assisting with general clerical duties such as photocopying, post, and scheduling
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience working as a school receptionist or in a school office environment
Proficiency in SIMS (School Information Management System)
Confident using Microsoft OneDrive and other MS Office tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A calm, professional, and approachable manner
Desirable:
Knowledge of safeguarding and school data procedures
First Aid certification (or willingness to undertake training)
