We're looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our residential children's home team near Barnstaple, Devon.

The Role
As a Deputy Manager, you'll play a crucial role in supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma. Your role will require you to be a mentor and role model, offering emotional support, and guidance as they navigate life's challenges. Your dedication will help improve outcomes for these individuals, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve.
Throughout the month, there will also be occasions when you are on-call, which will be on a rota basis and paid on top of your salary.
As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our manager, ensuring the well-being and development of children and young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing staff teams and budgets
Providing a stable, caring, and therapeutic environment
Safeguarding children and young people
Collaborating with stakeholders and professionals
Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards

A competitive salary of £31,924 - £38,644, depending on experience, with an increase on completion of probation

The Ideal Candidate:
We're seeking an experienced, compassionate individual with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs. About you:
Minimum 2 years' experience in challenging behaviour or SEMHD settings
Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures
Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong understanding of Children's Homes regulations
Ability to assess and manage risk effectively
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Honest, reflective, and trustworthy with a dynamic personality
