Full time, 36 hours per week.
Working day shifts. Shifts can range from: 07:00-19:30 (12 hours) 07:00-13:30 (6 hours) 13:00-19:30 (6 hours)
Basic hourly rate - £19.94 per hour, up to £21.94 per hour with enhancement.
A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.
Newlands House is home for 35 people with physical disabilities. The home has got a "Good" CQC rating.
We are based on Main Street, Netherseal, Swadlincote DE12 8DA. Please check the location before applying.
Due to lack of public transport to Newlands House, you will need access to transport or you will live in the Netherseal area.
As a Registered Nurse with Leonard Cheshire you’ll be responsible and accountable for providing the highest standards of nursing, clinical and personal support, while promoting independence and choice to our customers. Leading a team of support staff you will ensure the smooth and efficient management of the shift, prioritising, planning and delegating activities for the support team.
You will:
1. Be a registered nurse (current registration with NMC).
2. Have thorough and up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice at the level of a qualified nurse (level 5).
3. Be able to demonstrate effective nursing practice in all basic registered nurse procedures.
4. Work flexibly within rostered hours and on-call rota as required.
