Bids & Tenders Manager
The Role
: This exciting opportunity gives the holder the ability to manage, coach, and develop a team of bids & tendering engineers to give the best possible service to their customer base whilst ensure technical advice, and quotations, are at the highest standard. You will be managing five people across the UK and the Middle East in this endeavour whilst also managing your own workload of technical quotations & tenders for large civil nuclear projects across the globe.
This role is pro-active in nature and as such the Bids & Tenders Manager will be managing the resource of the team to ensure efficiency and standards, working closely with clients directly to provide progress reports & gain further insight into their needs to support bids, as well as working closely with the external sales teams who have been responsible for bringing the work to this team.
As a leader you will lead from the front, be technical in nature, and have a deep appreciation of valves & flow technology so that you are the go-to person for the rest of the team. This is a fast paced environment where workflow management is crucial and continuous improvement of processes is high on your agenda. This role will suit someone who is of a sales background wanting to be more technical, or an existing applications engineer or commercial manager who wants to be at the forefront of the bids, quotes & tenders process.
Requirements
: To be considered for the Bids & Tenders Manager role you must:
· Have a demonstrable track record in conducting bids & tenders within the flow technology sectors
· Are comfortable working at pace with a history of resource management
· Have come from a leadership background as this role will be managing a team of 5 tendering engineers
· Understand the complexities of new build tenders & bids for power & process markets
· Ideally come from an engineered product background
· Be an effective communicator & negotiator
· Can commute to the office in West Yorkshire 3-5 days per week

The Package
for Bids & Tenders Manager is:
· Basic: up to £55,000 DOE
· Company bonus scheme up to 15% of salary
