Are you an experienced nurse looking to develop your specialist skills and be at the forefront of improving continence care across the community? We are seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Continence Nurse Adviser to join our Bedfordshire Continence Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dedicated, supportive specialist team delivering high-quality, evidence-based continence care across primary care settings.
Responsibilities
* Manage a complex caseload of patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction, providing highly specialised assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
* Deliver treatments including pelvic floor exercises, bladder scanning and neuromuscular electrical stimulation.
* Work autonomously while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
* Develop care pathways, promote best practice and support education across the wider health economy.
* Involve in service development, education delivery, health promotion and innovative projects to enhance patient experience, clinical outcomes and cost-effective prescribing.
* Act as a clinical resource across primary and secondary care, influencing practice and promoting evidence-based approaches.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in adult community nursing and continence care is desirable.
* Excellent communication, clinical reasoning and time management skills.
* A dynamic, motivated practitioner who can coach and develop colleagues to deliver high standards of care.
* Ability to work flexibly to meet evolving service needs and contribute to ongoing quality improvement and service development.
* Must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle to carry out duties.
