This primary school is amunity school for children aged 2 to 11, located in the heart of Walsall. The school is seeking amitted part-time Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their inclusive and nurturing team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school that values every child’s potential.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Support small groups of lower-ability children, including those with additional needs, in accessing the curriculum.
2. Deliver targeted phonics interventions using the Read Write Inc (RWI) programme.
3. Assist the class teacher in preparing resources and adapting tasks to suit individual learning needs.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
5. Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
6. Support pupils’ emotional and social development.
7. Liaise with staff and contribute to team planning and review meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
9. Strong knowledge and experience of phonics, particularly Read Write Inc.
10. Experience supporting children with SEN and lower ability learners.
11. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills.
12. Amitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
