You should have a solid background in coastal engineering, processes, or management through your education and work experience, along with a broader perspective on helping clients address coastal challenges and achieve their ambitions.
About our Resilience Team:
Our team is dynamic, innovative, and dedicated, committed to achieving the best outcomes for our clients. We continually develop our methods and technologies, fostering staff growth.
The team comprises Coastal Engineers, Scientists, and Consultants with extensive consultancy experience. We deliver Flood and Coastal strategies and solutions for public clients, landowners, businesses, and communities across the UK and globally. We focus locally on specific areas and nationally on policy consultancy, research, and innovative solutions, often working on complex, non-standard projects and pioneering new approaches. We collaborate with colleagues in the Netherlands and worldwide, bringing water innovations from the Netherlands to the UK.
About the Role
You will be part of an established and growing UK team, leading proposals, projects, and programs by leveraging your technical and commercial expertise. You will manage existing client relationships, explore new market sectors, and develop new services. There are opportunities for innovation, tool development, and business growth, working closely with colleagues across RHDHV globally.
Main Work Areas
* Work across a broad Flood and Coastal Management scope, including policy development, engineering, funding, stakeholder engagement, and R&D.
* Focus geographically on clients near our offices, offering a range of coastal services, and on niche services like policy consultancy, research, and innovative solutions for national and international markets.
* Lead projects and proposals, providing technical input, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery, and fostering sustainable client relationships.
* Develop new methods and digital tools to improve project work and client services.
* Identify opportunities and secure new work.
* Support staff development and mentoring, fostering collaboration across UK and worldwide teams.

Professional accreditation such as Chartership (CEnv, CSci, C.WEM, CEng) is beneficial.
