About the role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies
• Set high expectations for academic achievement, behaviour, and inclusion for all pupils
• Foster a Growth Mindset approach, inspiring and motivating children to achieve their best
• Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and support pupil progress
• Create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with the staff team, sharing ideas and supporting colleagues
• Participate in curriculum development and take on leadership opportunities as appropriate
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and the wider school community
• Undertake 10% weekly Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time, plus ECT release time if applicable
• Uphold and promote the school's vision, values, and commitment to safeguarding
• Contribute to wider school life, including extra-curricular activities, trips, and events
• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflect on practice
