Are you a Support Worker tired of working for companies focused on profit only? We are a Charity; therefore, our focus is on you and the people we support. Come and join a Charity focused on people rather than profit. Working as part of our growing Accommodation-Based Services team, you\'ll get a chance to show what it means to be a great Support Worker. You\'ll bring expertise to provide practical and emotional support to individuals, helping them prepare for their future and move on with a greater level of independence. You\'ll do this in a trauma-informed way (you\'ll receive great training) and by building strong relationships with those you support.
Responsibilities
* Provide practical and emotional support to individuals, helping them prepare for their future and move on with greater independence.
* Operate in a trauma-informed way with training provided.
* Help with moving and settling into their new home, safety planning to reduce harm, securing desired jobs or training, and developing independent living skills (shopping, budgeting, cooking).
* Work as part of a tight-knit team of Support Workers, Senior Support Workers, Night Building Supervisors, and a Project Manager on a rota basis.
* Work within our supported accommodation building providing 24/7 housing and support for young people aged 16-18 who were homeless or at risk of homelessness in Lydney.
* Support individuals with complex needs, including substance misuse or mental health needs, as applicable.
Qualifications / Experience
* Experience as a support worker in a similar role, or life experience in this area, is welcome.
* Empathy, drive, and the ability to motivate others; willingness to learn and reflect; alignment with CCP\'s mission to transform lives.
