Job Description:
About the Role
We are looking for experienced support workers who have worked in residential and/or youth services and are keen to develop their skills in an organization with strong values on working directly with young people. Support workers will assist young people in achieving their goals, dreams, and inspiration. The home supports many young people; every day will keep you active, and no day is the same.
We collaborate with various professionals to give our young people a strong start when they move into independence. Candidates must be creative in engaging with young people aged 16-24 and have a strong understanding of safeguarding.
About Us
Our vision is for every child and young person to be safe, loved, and happy, to achieve their potential, and have a bright future.
St Christopher's is a leading charity for children and young people, with a history of providing fostering, children’s homes, and innovative leaving care services across the UK & Isle of Man. We are committed to our young people, placing them at the center of our work. We provide positive life experiences for those unable to sustain placements in their parental or foster homes.
We are an equal-opportunity employer and aim to develop an inclusive workforce where people feel they belong. We encourage applications from underrepresented groups, including different cultures, nationalities, socioeconomic backgrounds, ages, disabilities, religions, faiths, sexes, orientations, childcare responsibilities, and gender identities.

* Experience working with young people with complex needs (e.g., neurodiversity, sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation).
* A clear understanding of safeguarding regulations and procedures, including key issues in residential settings like security and health & safety.
* An awareness of issues facing young people, such as bullying, gangs, radicalization, self-harm, sexual exploitation, and trauma’s impact.
What you should expect from us:
* Competitive salary with performance-based progression.
