We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Seaforth seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with speech and language difficulties. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term stability and the chance to become a valued member of the school community.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with communication needs using Makaton.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
* Monitor progress and adapt support as needed.
Requirements:
* Experience using Makaton (formal training or practical experience).
* Previous experience in a primary school or SEN setting is desirable.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
