Basingstoke
£25,000 to £40,000 per annum plus Pension, Parking, Profit Share, Private Healthcare, Professional Subs and Cycle to Work Scheme.
THE ROLE
Working with a talented team of Chartered, mid-level and graduate engineers, our client is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated Civil Engineer to join their Basingstoke Office.
The successful candidate will have sound experience in a wide variety of Civil Engineering projects including highway and drainage design for various sites, with particular experience of private and public works, including sections agreements (S38, S278, S106, etc.).
Working on diverse projects, this team of professionals is looking for a diligent individual capable of producing all relevant drawings for Civil Engineering projects. The projects are challenging and include bespoke new builds, refurbishments, and heritage works.

They are a well-established practice operating since 1975, providing high-quality detailed technical design across the UK. Their clients include architects, developers, fabricators, and building owners. They specialize in Engineering Consultancy, delivering solutions to complex schemes.
REQUIREMENTS
* At least 8 years post-qualification experience in Civil Engineering
* Full UK driving license and own transport
CIVIL ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES
Experience with the following is highly desirable:
* Designing highway and drainage systems, including concept, preliminary, and detailed designs
* Performing drainage calculations (QBar, attenuation, soakaways, etc.)
* Designing structural pavements for highways, driveways, and footpaths
* Preparing developer enquiries, flood risk assessments, and drainage strategies
* Submitting applications (S104, S106, S185, S184, S278, S38)
* Writing reports such as Transport Statements, Flood Risk Assessments, etc.
* Managing sustainability criteria and complying with CDM Regulations
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Confidence in team and project management
* Ambitious, committed, with integrity
* Proficiency with drainage and highway design software (MicroDrainage, Flow, 3D Civils)
* Strong attention to detail
* Collaborative work ethic
* Proactive without supervision
* Client-focused with good communication skills
