About the Role:

As part of Learning Development Services, our Distance Learning Team plays a key role in supporting the strategic development and delivery of digital learning across ARU. The Digital Learning Specialist is central to enhancing our distance learning portfolio, using specialist expertise to design, develop and embed high-quality, accessible digital learning resources. This role supports a range of Distance, Work-Based, Degree Apprenticeship, CPD and short courses, ensuring that pedagogically sound and technically robust content is delivered in line with accessibility standards and institutional goals.

We are seeking a proactive and student-focused individual to join our expanding Distance Learning Operations Team. In this role, you will collaborate with academic and professional services colleagues to design and deliver engaging online learning experiences. You will apply your knowledge of learning technologies, accessibility, and multimedia design to ensure our courses are innovative, inclusive, and delivered on time. Your ability to manage multiple projects, advise on best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement will be key to supporting our growing distance learning community.

You'll have a degree and appropriate level of experience, or be part qualified in a relevant professional qualification appropriate to the specific role.
