The Role
As a Senior EC&I Engineer, you’ll provide technical and design support for facilities, systems, and equipment at Devonport, crucial to the nuclear defuel program.
Your responsibilities include assessing the condition of EC&I assets, recommending upgrades, extending system lifespans, and supporting design projects for defuel facilities. Daily tasks involve supporting operations and maintenance, conducting asset surveys, specifying replacements, maintaining technical documentation, troubleshooting, and developing system designs and deliverables.
This is a full-time role (36 hours/week) based at Devonport Royal Dockyard with hybrid working arrangements.
Essential Experience
* Operational knowledge of EC&I hardware and software systems
* Understanding of industry legislation related to electrical systems, including safety standards
* Experience with electrical plant instrumentation
* Development of EC&I systems through design lifecycle
* Stakeholder management skills
* Ability to produce electrical drawings using AutoCAD
Qualifications
* Degree in electrical engineering or significant experience with HNC
* Professional registration is desirable
Security Clearance
The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance. Eligibility may be affected by nationality, citizenship, or residency status.
