Reporting to the Head of Financial Data within the FP&A function, this role brings expert-level SQL capability to a critical area of the business. Working closely with other Financial Data SMEs, you’ll support decision‑making across the division and wider organisation by guiding the technical use and application of financial data in both internal and external reporting. You will also play a key role in ensuring the right data systems, processes, operations, and data flows are in place to enable Finance and the wider business to achieve their objectives.
What you'll be doing:
* Support the Financial Data team to deliver accurate and timely financial data to the Finance division and wider business to support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements
* Drive the efficient creation of new group wide data models, leveraging existing and new data sets across multiple functions.
* Implement and manage the ongoing monitoring of the Financial Data governance framework.
* SME in data architecture, linking together data governance and provision of data in formats that end users can easily leverage.
Who we're looking for:
* Expert level SQL capability with a deep knowledge of data systems, processes, operations and data flows.
* Robust knowledge of financial and actuarial concepts, and regulatory requirements.
* Strong understanding of end-to-end data management and reporting, controls, operations and processes.
* Proven experience in designing and building robust processes that are well governed and controlled.
* A Financial qualification is beneficial (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc) or longevity of experience working with / within Finance.
