About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bakery Process Technologist to support product development and process optimisation within a bakery environment. This role acts as a key link between New Product Development (NPD) and Technical, ensuring kitchen concepts are successfully transferred to industrial-scale production while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.
This role sits between NPD and Technical, focusing on factory trials, feasibility studies, and scaling kitchen concepts to industrial production, including shelf-life validation. You'll be hands-on in the factory, data-driven in your approach, and comfortable turning trial results into clear technical reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support bakery trials and feasibility studies
Transfer recipes from kitchen to factory scale
Support shelf-life and process optimisation work
Use data to drive decisions and continuous improvement
Produce clear, structured technical reports
Work cross-functionally with NPD, Technical, and Operations
About You
If you are an existing Food Process Technologist with food manufacturing experience, ideally within bakery. You're comfortable working in a factory environment, supporting trials, analysing data, and driving continuous improvement, then this role is for you.
Key Requirements
Proven bakery manufacturing experience
Comfortable working in a factory environment
Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
Experience in trials, scale-up, or process development with a passion for continuous improvement
Food Safety Level 3 (essential)
HACCP Level 3 (preferred)
Candidates from QA or other food-related technical roles will be considered
