To support our commitment to excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Learning & Development (L&D)/HR Director to lead and enhance our training and development initiatives.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The L&D/HR Director is a senior leadership role responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing the clubs learning and development programs. You will be instrumental in shaping and executing strategies that support employee growth, enhance skills, and align with the clubs overall goals. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments to identify training needs, develop innovative programs and ensure effective delivery and evaluation of training initiatives. You will embody the vision and values of our prestigious club, driving a culture of learning and development that supports both personal and professional growth. Your strategic leadership and commitment to excellence will be crucial in fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the clubs goals, values and business objectives.
Develop, deliver and manage training programs and initiatives that address skill gaps, enhance employee performance and support career development.
Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to identify training needs and priorities, ensuring programs are relevant and impactful.
Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and other evaluation methods, making improvements as needed.
Create and manage leadership development programs to nurture and prepare future leaders within the organisation.
Ensure all training programs comply with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies, including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices.
Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in learning and development, incorporating innovative approaches and tools into training programs.
Develop and manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and optimal use of resources.
Provide regular reports and updates to the Managing Director on training initiatives, program effectiveness, and key performance indicators.
REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior L&D/HR role, with a proven track record of designing and implementing effective training programs. Experience in a luxury or high-end environment is preferred.
Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive L&D strategies.
Deep knowledge of learning and development methodologies, including instructional design, adult learning principles, and program evaluation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to incorporate the latest trends and technologies into training programs to enhance learning outcomes.
Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP, SHRM) are a plus.
