The role
- Proven experience in a finance management role, ideally within hospitality, leisure, or a multi-revenue business
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance and drive profitability
- Experience producing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and KPI reporting
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised, accurate, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong systems skills, including accounting software and advanced Excel

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Finance Manager to lead the Accounts Department at Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. Reporting to the General Manager and Finance Director, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all finance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of the Accounts Department and supervise a small finance team
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, forecasts, and annual budgets
- Present financial performance and analysis to senior management
- Partner with Heads of Department to manage budgets, control costs, and improve profitability
- Oversee payroll, cash flow, banking, sales and purchase ledgers, stock control, and membership administration
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, statutory requirements, and company procedures
- Support year-end processes, audits, and business planning activities
- Provide financial insight and recommendations to support commercial decision-making
