Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer, part of a multi:billion:pound global group. This site has a great culture and feel to retaining its team members, due to a recent promotion, they are looking for a maintenance engineer.
Role And Responsibilities
Responsible for all engineering services on site : maintenance, breakdowns of machinery, efficiency, reliability and improvements
Electrical and mechanical fault finding, repairs and PPM schedules
Working on production and packaging machinery, automation and controls, PLCs, site services
Dealing with motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, safety circuits
Assist in project work : new machine installations and upgrades
Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding, machining work
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
Multi:Skilled engineer : either mechanical or electrical biased
Must have completed a time:served:apprenticeship
Level 3 or higher qualified in engineering
Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair skills
Must have worked in manufacturing, FMCG, production industry
PLC : electrical fault finding
Beneficial to have mechanical fabrication, fitting and welding skills
Experience with motors, drives, circuits, gearboxes, conveyors, belts, chains
Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings
